2025 Home Run Derby odds: Pittsburgh Pirates' Oneil Cruz is the favorite

The 2025 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, but before that entree is everyone's favorite appetizer of hitting prowess: The 2025 T-Mobile Home Run Derby.

On Monday night, eight contestants will vie for the crown, and Pittsburgh Pirates slugger Oneil Cruz is the +340 favorite at BetMGM sportsbooks. Cruz is hitting just .204 so far this season, but has 16 home runs.

Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh — who leads all of baseball with 36 home runs this season and has the second-best AL MVP odds at +500 — has the next-best odds at +375, followed by hometown hero Ronald Acuña Jr. (+425) and the Washington Nationals' James Wood (+550).

Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton (+800) is responsible for the longest home run in the first half among the contestants at 479 feet, but also has the fewest wagers to win the Derby after getting hit on the hand with a pitch on Wednesday.

Wood has the most wagers (18%) and total dollars wagered (34.4%) so far at BetMGM, and is the sportsbook's largest liability to win the event. He also has the second-most home runs hit in the first half of the season (24) among the participants.

The Los Angeles Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez won the 2024 title.

New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. has the longest odds at 13-1.
